Live Panel | How America Can Achieve Nuclear Energy Dominance
The Center for the National Interest is pleased to share a new report, “How America Can Achieve Nuclear Energy Dominance: Recommendations to Implement President Trump’s Policy Agenda,” released in partnership with Energy Innovation Reform Project. This forward-looking document outlines how the United States can revitalize its nuclear energy sector to meet rising domestic demand, compete internationally, and support national security and economic objectives. President Donald Trump’s four recent executive orders emphasized nuclear energy’s role as a strategic asset—and this report offers a thoughtful and serious effort to make the most of America’s strengths and today’s opportunities. Grounded in extensive consultation with experts from key stakeholders, it reflects a strong consensus on the steps needed to help American companies deploy next-generation reactors at home and abroad, rebuild and rethink the U.S. fuel cycle, and maintain a skilled nuclear workforce—among other key goals.
On August 27, the Center for the National Interest and Energy Innovation Reform Project will host a panel of experts to discuss how the United States can become a nuclear energy powerhouse.
