A Conversation with Ambassador Kurt Volker
On February 26, the Center for the National Interest hosted Ambassador Kurt Volker, the U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine Negotiations, to discuss the crisis situation in Ukraine and U.S.-Russia relations. Ambassador Volker is a highly respected career diplomat and served as U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO as well as in other key posts in the State Department, on the National Security Council staff and on the NATO staff in Brussels. In addition to his role as a U.S. Special Envoy, Ambassador Volker is the Executive Director of the McCain Institute for International Leadership at Arizona State University and is based in Washington.
