America, Iran, and the Nuclear Talks

On July 17, the Center hosted a lunch panel to discuss the implications of the Iran deal. The panelists included Philip Gordon, a Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, who served until 2015 as Special Assistant to the President and Coordinator for the Middle East, North Africa, and the Persian Gulf Region at the White House; Robert Satloff, the longtime director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy; and Laura Rozen, who reports on foreign policy for Al Monitor’s Backchannel Blog. The panel discussed the future of American policy in the region and the prospects for U.S.-Iran relations. The Center’s Senior Director of the Regional Security Program, Geoff Kemp moderated the event.
