Center Hosts Georgia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili

On April 23, the Center for the National Interest hosted an off-the-record dinner discussion with Georgia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili and a visiting delegation of senior Georgian officials. Moderated by Center board member and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Iraq, and Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad, the evening brought together a select group of Washington-based experts for a frank and substantive conversation with the Georgian delegation. The discussion covered a wide range of issues, including Georgia’s evolving ties with the United States, its aspirations for integration with Europe, and the complexities of navigating its relationship with neighboring Russia.
