The Center for the National Interest held a workshop focused on “National Security, Resource Competition, and Climate Change” at the Tufts University European Center in Talloires, France, from May 5 to 8, 2015. The thirteen participants discussed issues ranging from the creation of a bipartisan consensus on climate change in the U.S. government to the water crisis in Iran during a successful two-day conference at the Priory. Geoffrey Kemp, Director of the Regional Security Program at the Center for the National Interest, organized and led the conference. Center Vice-Chairman Dov Zakheim participated in the conference as well and gave a presentation on the politics of climate change in the Republican Party. The Carnegie Corporation funded the event.
