The Prospects for Stability in the Middle East

On June 23, the Center held an off-the-record lunch discussion with Ambassador Anne Patterson, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, on the prospects for stability in the Middle East and the U.S. role in the region. The event, moderated by Center Advisory Council member Ambassador John Negroponte, touched on Iranian nuclear negotiations, the threat of ISIL and the crisis in Yemen.
