As Americans prepare to head to the polls on November 5, they face a critical choice: who is better suited to handle an international crisis at the helm — Donald Trump or Kamala Harris? Voters will have to consider key factors, from each candidate’s approach to the economy to the looming confrontation with the quartet of China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea. Paul Glastris is the editor-in-chief of the Washington Monthly and a former speechwriter for President Bill Clinton. He was also a correspondent for U.S. News & World Report.

Daniel McCarthy is the editor of Modern Age: A Conservative Review. He is also a regular contributor to The New York Times, The American Conservative, the New York Post, and a variety of other publications.

Jacob Heilbrunn, the editor of The National Interest, moderated the discussion.
