North Korea: What Next?

On May 24, the Center for the National Interest organized a breakfast briefing entitled “North Korea: What Next?” Speakers included Dr. Kim Heung-Kyu, a visiting fellow at Georgetown University and a policy advisor to the South Korean Presidential Security Council as well as Director of the China Policy Institute at Ajou University, Anthony Ruggiero, a Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies who spent 17 years in the U.S. government with roles at the Treasury and State Departments, including as a Non-Proliferation Advisor to the U.S. delegation to the 2005 rounds of the Six-Party Talks; and Lt. Gen. Wallace Gregson (USMC, Ret.), Senior Director for China and the Pacific at the Center for the National Interest, a former Assistant Secretary of Defense in the Obama administration, and a former Commander of U.S. Marines in the Pacific.
